Our magnet program
In the ever-changing entertainment industry having diverse skills will allow you to stand apart from the rest of the crowd. This program focuses on design and technology in the theatrical, dance, and music concert worlds. Our program is built for students interested in a variety of aspects in the production areas of the entertainment industry. Entrance to the program is by audition/interview only.
You are provided the opportunity to learn from an accomplished faculty in state-of-the-art facilities. Students will have classroom learning augmented with hands-on experiences in professional settings through courses like Lighting Design; Entertainment Drafting; Costume Design; Sound Technology and Stage Management. Students will also have the chance for internships and other practical experience opportunities.
A career in Entertainment Design and Technology allows you to become an innovative storyteller across a dynamic and immersive medium. Post-secondary career opportunities include: set designer, lighting director, stage manager, production director and a variety of other creative professions in the live entertainment industry.
