Brian Steele

Production Manager

Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Professional Pilot from Polk State College, a background that shaped his precision-driven approach to live production long before he stepped into a theater. He has been working in the performing arts industry since 2010, accumulating over 15 years of experience across lighting design, production management, and technical direction.

Brian has worked with IATSE Local 412 at some of the region's most prominent venues, including Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, the Asolo Repertory Theatre, Sarasota Opera House, and Venice Performing Arts Center, and served as a Stage Technician at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland. He currently serves as Production Manager at Booker High School's Visual & Performing Arts Center, where he assists the Production & Design Department and oversees all aspects of live production — from lighting and sound to video and scenic coordination.

Beyond the technical work, Brian is deeply invested in the next generation of theater makers. At Booker VPAC, he trains student technicians in industry-standard tools and workflows, bridging the gap between professional practice and arts education.
